Freshstart smoking cessation class
Anyone who wants to quit using tobacco may participate in Freshstart. Participants should plan to attend 4 weekly, one hour sessions.
What is the Freshstart Tobacco Cessation Program?

The primary goal of Freshstart is to help participants plan a successful quit attempt by teaching effective ways to overcome nicotine dependence. Freshstart is designed to help any tobacco user, including those who may be unsure about wanting to quit and specifically addresses ambivalence about quitting. The information, group activities and discussion topics help participants discover why they smoke and what motivates them to quit. You will learn how to cope with withdrawal symptoms, adopt meaningful lifestyle changes, understand your nicotine replacement options, embrace patience and persistence, share your experiences and ideas about quitting, and ultimately successfully kick the habit.

Your role as a participant
A valuable part of the program is the social support participants receive. Your shared experiences and perspectives provides you with an opportunity to learn from and support each other. You and your Freshstart group will get the most out of this program if you come to each meeting prepared to share your experiences and ideas about quitting. You will learn a lot from the sessions, no matter if quitting is easier or harder than you expected.
Meeting is over, you can not register now. If you have any questions, please contact Meeting host: Laurie Dlouhy.
